Here is a group of three genuine vintage Japanese red / pink Momo coral cabochons, which two of them have lovely traditional Japanese carving. All coral items listed here are genuine, 100% natural without treatment, they are all tested locally and in Ireland, no any dyed or re-constructed items, no any confusion stuff such as sea-bamboo or weed-coral.

The biggest has rich red / orange colour, is so vivid and also changes with light. It has craved flower pattern at one side, a bit white growth marks can be seen within the carving, which is completely normal for Japanese Aka or Momo coral. It is in perfect condition, highly polished surface, one corner is chipped because I dropped it on the kitchen floor myself, please check the photos, and you can see it very clearly. The back of the coral is also polished, white growth marks can be seen, a tiny hole in the middle, guess it was a pin or brooch before.

It is at size 23.5 x 17.5 x 4.5mm, and weights about 2.9 gram (nearly 15 carat). Please be advised that this piece is not thick, only 4.5mm thickness, I also suggest you to do use a ruler to try out the size on your own finger, it might give you a better idea. Another two coral cabochons are at lighter colour, one is pinkish / orange, or I should say it is vivid salmon colour, the smallest is in soft pink with a bit orange tone.

Their size is 22 x12 x 6mm, 18 x11 x 6mm. They are highly polished with shining surface, no visible chip / crack/ or other damages. Total three pieces weigh 7.25 grams, or 36 Carat. They can be made into lovely and elegant rings, or pendants, they are not huge, but have very generous size. It is so rare for such high quality and skillful carving.
