This is a very stylish and detailed Large Heavy Japanese Meiji Period Sterling Silver ladies Belt Buckle in a classic "Iris" design, fully signed and stamped on the back for a company who dealt with fine Japanese export items in the Meiji Restoration period from the 1860's to the early 1900's called Arthur & Bond of Yokohama, its also stamped "STERLING" which is what it tests, it actually seems to be high grade than Sterling Silver? A very Interesting buckle of wonderful quality and finish from a old fashioned Antique dealer who buys all his items from small estate auctions and genuine estate clearances, it is literally as found & dirty and has not been cleaned or touched by us. Second image shows the buckle with a pair of gents cufflinks so the size and scale can be seen, they are not included in the sale.... Size: approx 10.7 cm across.
