A superb Japanese Satsuma vase from the Meiji Era, finely painted and gilt, is available for sale. It has been repaired at the bottom 1/4 of the vase but still displays beautifully. It is finely painted with figures and also displays two scrolls showing Japanese calligraphy. It measures roughly 12" tall by 5 5/8" wide. If you look carefully at the bottom part of the vase you can see where the hairline crack wraps around the vase.

It has been reinforced with adhesive but it is likely an old repair and would benefit greatly from a modern restoration. Please take a look at our other listings!
