Black Japanese cloisonné vase with a pattern of a large blossom tree and many blossom branches and flowers below it. A bird is sitting on a tree branch. The upper edge is set with a bronze rim, and below that, a cloisonné circle motif. The vase has a classical form with high shoulders and a short flared top.
The vase stands on a slightly raised foot with a cloisonné meander border decoration. Silver borders, brass or bronze inside neck and on base.The high quality illustration is applied by means of the cloisonné technique. The vase has a beautiful deep black color.
There is some damage on lower back of opposite of flowers with small indentation and scratch mark. Some pitting to the front in some areas of the flowers. Measures 6 inches in height and 2 1/4 inches diameter.
