Fine Japanese Samurai Sword Sue Koto Bizen Chisa Katana Signed Bishu Osafune Sukemitsu Circa 1575. A Fine Japanese Samurai Sword Sue Koto Bizen Chisa Katana Signed Bishu Osafune Sukemitsu Circa 1575. 23 and 3/4 inch blade, 2 shaku. Very thick and complex ko-choji hamon in fine nie and nioi. Fine item hada with lovely ji-nie sprinkled throughout.

Nakago is ubu with one mekugi-ana and beautiful koto patination. Blade has a fine gold foil "cat scratched" habaki.

Blade is in almost full old sashikomi polish with all details clearly visible. Hada is without any significant kizu.

Mounted in a good old Japanese honoki wood shirasaya with ivory eyelets. This is a superior Sukemitsu short katana of a type favored by samurai warriors later during the Age of Battles in the time of the "Demon King" Oda Nobunaga.
