About the item: Fine quality vintage Japanese Bronze Yatate writing set , c 1940. Nicely cast and highly detailed it stands on raised feet , has a hinged lid with an elephant stand end. It has symbols/character marks to the base and has lovely raised traditional decoration of foliage etc to the main body and stem. It is in good condition and has good colour/patina. Size: 43 cm long x 13 cm wide. I have travelled extensively throughout Africa, Asia, India, North America and much of my collection has been sourced in the Country of origin.
