Offering an antique Meiji period rare fine quality Japanese cloisonne enamel box & cover with a brass insert. The brass on the interior of the box has 6 birds in flight etched into the brass. The exterior of the box has a dark blue box on the sides and the top has I brighter blue top with a flower cart filled with plethora of flowers and small birds.
Could be Inaba, Namikawa yasuyuki, Ando or Hayashi Kodenji workshop style? The underside of the box is decorated in a bright green which appears to also be cloisonné decoration with swirls of gold wire. The sides of the box have flowers with swirls of gold wires. 75 inches wide x 3.

The brass on the interior of the box cover has 6 birds in flight etched into the brass.All of the finely depicted flowers and birds are separated with fine gold wires. This lovely piece is signed Inaba on the bottom of the box. There is a baseball shaped Inaba signature in the center of the bottom. The box has 4 square tapered pedestal feet.
