Fine Meiji Period Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Vase w Silver Wire & Rim, Nice Form. This is a very fine Meiji period Japanese Cloisonne Vase. Decorated with silver wire on a midnight blue ground, it has birds in maple trees with flowers. This vase is an unusual form on tripod feet. It never had a lid as the rim would not accommodate one (see interior near rim).
The mouth rim is silver and the interior is a rich teal color. The workmanship is very fine quality. The vase measures 10 cm. Width at the mouth is 10 cm. (4) and at the widest point it measures 14 cm.
This vase dates to the Meiji period. This fine vase is in excellent condition with NO damage, losses or repair.
