Superbly observed Japanese vintage (1970s) bronze bull with its head lowered as if ready to charge by Eiju Tsuda. 20cm long x 6cm deep x 10.5cm high, weight 1.45kg. He was accepted by the Japan Fine Arts Exhibition (Nitten) many times and won many domestic awards, including a grand prize at the Nitten exhibition in 1962. Eiju is known primarily for his bronze vases, but the animal theme is also a popular one.
