Fine JAPANESE Porcelain Small ROOSTER FIGURINE withSTAND-Painted-Stamped Mark

For sale is a fine vintage Japanese porcelain rooster figurine with wooden stand. The figure itself is 6 inches tall by 3 5/8 inches wide, and the carved wood stand is 1 ½ inches tall. The rooster is finely modeled. The feathers are covered in a glassy white glaze, while the feet, wattles and comb have a matte finish from painting.

It has an irregular oval hole in the base. It is marked with a two-character kanji stamp and an incised "X".

Condition on the piece is very good. There is no damage other than some wear to the foot of the stand.
