Fine Japanese Meiji Wood Lacquer Box w/ Nashiji, Signed. Japanese late Meiji Period (1905- 1920) wood lacquer box with fine and detailed beautiful gold decorations of a ho-bird and a family mon above, with a red color background and silver symbolic floral decorations, signed by an artist. The back of the box and the legs are made with black lacquer. The interior of the box has a beautiful nashiji finish.
