Fine Japanese cloisonne jewellery or trinket box

A fine Japanese cloisonné enamelled jewellery trinket box, Meiji period. The hinged cover decorated with a bird amongst a range of stylised flowers and bamboo growing from a rock outcrop, the sides front and back decorated with flowers against a turquoise green ground. Note the colour is slightly more green and less blue than in the images. The base is further decorated and the interior is engraved with stylised fish. 2.1 in (5.2 cm) height, 4.3 in (10.9 cm) width, 3.6 in (9.2 cm) depth.
