It's in beautiful, condition - held atop a curio cabinet (no sun) for many, many years. The coloration is classic and workmanship is exquisite. The weave is gorgeous - and varied in style on the handle attachments, base/leg accents and body of the weave - a very skilled artisan created this basket!

The most unique aspect of this is the inset which is solid piece of bamboo wood (usually porcelain or plastic, so, it is quite rare to see bamboo to hold water). Here are the approximate measurements: 3 1/4" Wide and 15 7/8" Tall to top of handle... A beautiful piece of art - authentic Japanese Ikebana baskets are rare and hard to find.
