DESCRIPTION: Fine old Japanese signed oribe ware, ceramic pottery teapot, or sake warmer. The shape is a squat and low tapering form, painted with delicate flowers and crosshatch abstract patterns, with a rattan wrapped, wood handle.
The base is also decorated, and it is signed with a impressed oval stamp mark. SIZE/WEIGHT: The pot is approximately 6.5 across not including the spout, about 1.5 deep. And it stands about 2.25 tall to the top of the pottery loop, and about 6 from the base to the top of the handle. Weighs 1 pound 1.25 oz. CONDITION: Very Good vintage with no cracks, some crazing. There is a tiny fleabite or chip, and a little roughness on the end of the spout. The rattan wrapping has a little missing on the top of the handle. International Buyers - Please Note.
