Antique Japanese Meiji Cloisonné Enamel White Wisteria Floral Bronze Plate 12. Meiji period, 1868 to 1912. A fine antique and rare Japanese cloisonné.
Plate charger handcrafted well featuring a rounded medallion painted with delicate Chinese white & bluish purple wisteria and some other exquisite flowers on a deep black highly glazed background. The cheek is painted with multicolored designs with traditional Japanese shippo designs. The border is adorned with ornate individual same pattern 12 medallion designs each one different from each other. The rim is bright gold highly glazed with small half. Measurements: 12" Diameter, 1 1/2" height.Great to excellent condition for age well kept and was displayed in a cabinet climate control home. Colors vivid and no fades. The backside is adorned with turquoise blue enamel and a circular cloud swirl wavy motif. Wiring exposure at the back evident.
