Fine Antique Japanese Ginger Jars Blue & White Seto Ware -Nineteenth Century

Two Japanese porcelain blue and white Seto Ware ginger / covered jars complete with internal covers. Typically unmarked and dating to the nineteenth century. Fine Antique Japanese Porcelain Ginger Jars - Seto Ware - Nineteenth Century. Two scarce antique Japanese blue and white Seto Ware porcelain ginger or covered jars both complete with internal covers. Highly decorative including the inside of the lids. The jars have a slightly raised unglazed foot and are typically unmarked.

Nineteenth century - Meiji period. One In good antique condition with some minor and expected firing flaws - the other with a tight, lightly filled, hairline running from the shoulder to approx half way down the body very stable and only apparent on the closest inspection (picture ten), there is also a small and shallow loss to the unglazed rim of this jar. There are typical and expected minor flaws to each from manufacture. The jars display superbly as'a pair' and would sit well in any quality collection.
