FREE PICK-UP IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA. Up for your consideration is a superb Meiji-era cloisonne vase featuring assorted flora on a black and metallic moonstone ground. The piece is "lobed" with 6 raised surfaces. The piece measures 5 tall, and is in excellent condition with one concern: there is a faint ding/discoloration that is difficult to notice and is depicted in the last photo. Otherwise, there are no dents, dings, or missing cloisonne.
As is common with this era, the bottom bronze/brass portion is somewhat uneven or slightly imperfect. This is not damage, but occurs because the base is hand-hammered, rather than pre-molded.
