This sale is for a beautifully Hand Carved and period - late 19th Century example of a Chinese or Japanese Wooden Display Stand for elevating the Vase, Censor or Bowl etc of your choice. The piece is Carved in beautiful intricate detail with a 5 footed design and stylised openwork rim as shown. The piece measures approx 18cm in overall width - 11cm in height, the internal section will house a piece of up to 14.5cm in Base width, I have used the Coke Can to give an idea of its size. The piece is in generally good overall condition for its age, the only things to really mention are that one of the feet is slightly shorter than the other 4 and does not sit quite flush which I have tried to show in images 8 and 9 however with a heavy piece applied to it I have never had a problem and have used this to display a large Oriental Vase of my own for a fairly long time, otherwise just a couple of fairly minor imperfections to the Rim shown in images 10 and 11 for examples.
