Offering this exquisite antique Japanese satsuma porcelain hatpin with a finely painted court scene featuring a beautiful woman and girl. Signed on the back (characters inside an impression shaped vaguely like a butterfly). It has characteristic crazing, age-related gilt wear, and a small edge chip where the porcelain meets the brass (possibly original to its creation) but is otherwise in good condition.
