Antique Necklace Meiji Mount Fuji & Peacock Locket Pendant Japanese Shakudo

Fabulous Meiji shakudo locket with delicate gold braid border. Rectangular with gold and silver applied to shakudo ground. Shakudo is a lacquer-shaded alloy. One side are peacock and bamboo with Mount Fuji in background.

On other is flower basket. Gold scroll crown with ring bail.

Condition: Some braid fraying and lifting. Dimensions: H (with bail) 2 x W 1 1/8 x D 3/8 in.
