Antique Japanese Sterling Silver/Gold Shakudo Locket Pendant, Shamisen, 28.7g
Up for sale is an antique Japanese sterling silver locket pendant, with gold trim and a shakudo shamisen player. Rare piece, and wonderfully made. Space for 2 pictures, one under glass. Both retaining rings present, but I did not attempt to remove them.
Not signed or marked that I can tell (though may be marked under the picture covers). Tests as sterling or close to it. It has an acid test spot on the back, which can probably be buffed out. One glass or plastic cover on the inside. Strong closure with a snap. Measures about 1.5" x 1 1/16" without the bale, or 2 1/8 long with the bale. Total weight is 28.7 grams.
