This was a piece that was actually used on the old world Japanese swords. The figure is the bust of a character figural Japanese warrior or God. He is thick and heavy. Finely detailed with gold accents.
The piece is then mounted on a thick sterling silver setting. The Kashira dates from the 18/19th century and the setting is most likely 1900s. It is hallmarked sterling and tested (the shank). It is presented in fabulous condition.
A beautiful part of Japanese history made useful once again. Ring Size: 6 3/4 on the mandrel, but fits more like a 7 - 7 1/4 US. Kashira: 33.8 mm x 16 mm x 7 mm. Of course I honor this policy.
