Antique Japanese Fine Porcelain Geisha with Fan, Real Gold Trim, 17.5 Tall. This Antique Japanese Fine Porcelain Sculpture is superbly formed with elegant details and a meticulously hand-painted glaze. The Geisha stands holding her fan in her cupped hands with the original tassel hanging from its handle. Note the delicate floral details in her hair and the raised beading of her necklace and hair ornament.

Her kimono is painted with abundant orange red flowers - all trimmed in gold. Her obi and fan are both painted in different patterns and trimmed in gold as well. The Geisha Sculpture stands at approximately 17 1/2" tall, 5 1/2" at her widest point, and 5 at her deepest point. She weighs a substantial 4lbs. We believe the piece to be from the Kutani line of porcelain pottery and to date from the 1960's. The sculpture is in very good pre-owned condition, especially for its age, with no cracks, chips or crazing to its glaze.
