Cloisonné vase by the Ando Jubei company, this large scale high quality vase depicts a mountainous scene, a striking snow capped Mt Fuji rises in the distance finished in Musen (wireless) enamel technique, pine trees climb high in the foreground, worked in traditional silver wired technique's and surrounded by a magical morning mist, once again finished in Musen enamel and shaded superbly, heavily counter enameled to the interior the vase is fitted with solid silver mounts and is signed to the underside with the Ando company seal, a magical piece of Cloisonné enamel from the late Meiji/ Taisho period. Magnificent addition to your collection.
