Bao Ming Collection - Oriental Arts and Antiques from Collector to Collector. This is a fine and rare Hirado blue enamel ground double gourd bottle decorated with molded flowering vine all around. The leaves are decorated with celadon enamel and brown iron-wash to imitate yellowed leaves.

One rare occasions, mostly small Okimono figurines, you would see Hirado ware decorated with the same colors pattern. This is the first time I've seen a relatively large bottle vase decorated with blue enamel ground. This double gourd bottle is approx. 8"H X 5.5"W (20.32cm X 13.97cm). This is in very good condition: it has 2 very short and faint hairline at the mouth (difficult to see and appear that the hairlines does NOT go thru).

It was examined under black UV light and has no restoration. Please study photos for further condition detail.
