They are old-stock from Japanese jeweler back in 1920s. Aka red coral is the finest among precious corals now of higher value than gold.
You can see from the photos these gemstones are glassy in texture with white growth patterns which are typical of Aka red coral. This set includes gemstones mostly of intense red, so called oxblood red coral, which are rarest among aka coral.These gemstones are in pairs, each with identical size and color. A total of 54 pairs, 108 gemstones!! They are great for making into high-quality jewelries like pair rings or earrings, or this set is excellent for just collecting as an antique.
